There are no good words. I attempt anyway. You make the universe vaster and deeper when some of the wiggly bits of you complement some of the wiggly bits of me, in some deeply valuable way. Thank you to those of you who have impacted my life, in immeasurable ways, by offering your unique selves to me. You’ve made me a far better human being than I imagined possible.

Special thanks goes out to my beloved David. There really are no good words.

But, thank you from all of the cells in my body, nonetheless.

With you I can fly

The Big Picture:

My big goal that is getting very much closer, thanks to generous donations, is starting a non-profit community resource hub with resident artists, techies, and educators all working with the community to find creative solutions using available resources to serve the needs of the community members freely and unconditionally so that everyone can be their best possible selves. I’m currently (Spring 2018) starting to seriously look for (very cheap) property, ideally an old farm, probably in mid-coast Maine, and seeking folks who can help figure out the legal stuff of starting a non-profit or whatever, and putting the property into a trust so that it’s always there to serve the needs of those who live there.

I’ve also created a Patreon creator account for those who believe that my work is valuable and who have an excess number of banking points (aka $’s, £’s, ¥, or whatever).

I have a saying “Who haven’t you asked yet?” I guess it stemmed from my quest for answers about how to grow healthfully, and how to deal with anger, after realizing that both I and my beloved husband were so very angry. I found my best answers by looking in all kinds of weird places. Leaving no stone unturned, as they say. By listening to so many different types of individuals, instead of just the ones who were similar to me, I found some really unexpected perspectives which led to some great solutions.

We can form questions in different ways to get the attention of different kinds of individuals, who have different perspectives on the subject. These can be anything from different parts of our own brain to other animals, vegetables, minerals, and whatnot that we encounter in our lives — anything that happens to have some kind of information that we might not have, or haven’t yet tried to apply to our current problem we’re trying to solve.

Here are the kinds of questions that we can ask, in chronological order, as we seek to achieve a goal and encounter a problematic something or other (X):

Physical (Negative/Past): What caused X?

Emotional: What do others think of my theory about what caused X?

Intellectual: How does my theory fail to predict reality?

Philosophical: What IS reality (here and now)?

Physical (Positive/Future): How can we work WITH reality (to achieve our goal)?

.

What do they know?
Did you ask them?

(Oh, and inertia was the word I was looking for!)

You are made of a vast number of wiggles… vibrations of quantum particles, making vibrating atoms, making vibrating molecules, making vibrating cells, making vibrating organs, making a vibrating living organism. All of it combined is you. You are one big complex wave.

And your wave is always adding complementary, compatible, yet slightly incompatible, other waves to it, to help you become a better you. A you that fits together better.

In this podcast I ramble around the idea of what makes you you, and not, for example, a lamp, and why you are probably pretty compatible with me, even looking all the way back to you as a zygote!

a meme for mother Earth – #mymostpreciousthing

(click on image for a larger version for sharing)

Starting from high above and slowly zooming in on our planet you will naturally find a person, place, or thing to rest your vision on, something that seems to be the most cherished out of all of the rest of the world for you.

What is your most precious thing?

Feel free to share the image and/or your story of your most precious thing with anyone and everyone, so that we can all better see the treasures surrounding our lives which we most want to protect, preserve, and help flourish.

Love,
Turil

I also spoke about my most precious thing in the special podcast last Solstice. My beloved David. Happy Birthday my honey!

Entropy makes life better, always and forever.

Life just keeps getting more complex, more fun, more weird, more interesting, and more creative, over time, because entropy, in both it’s meanings, continues to increase. And life is the peak of entropy.

This may sound odd if you’ve been taught the old, Newtonian, explanations of entropy, but this is the modern, quantum physics, understanding of how reality works and what entropy represents.

Entropy is an increase in the number of possible combinations of elements, either in the universe as a whole over time, or in a single set of things.

We are awesome, and will (most likely) get more awesome over time, on average, for infinitely long.

The universe loves life!

My own reflection of what I’ve lost, an introspection on the past decade of my life, without my beloved husband and without a healthy community that supports my basic needs for food, water, air, warmth, light, information, and the freedom to express myself fully.

I’ve used this loss to define myself and my goals for creating a better world. I hope that you can explore your own losses and define yourself with them so that you, too, can clarify your goals and ideals for what you want to do with your life!

The Grand Solstice of Life on Earth

In the grand procession of the Earth, we not only move through yearly seasons of life – the emotionally expressive Summer, the intellectually introspective Fall, the philosophically/spiritually deep darkness of Winter, and then the explosively passionate and playful and productive Spring – but we move through these stages on personal and cultural levels as well.

So, in this cultural, seasonal, and maybe personal time of Solstice pausing and reflecting, I suggest that we consider sharing our stories of loss, so that we might better understand who we are and what we most value in life, so that we can slowly come back together – after so much fighting, and then dividing and retreating from one another – as a larger, more collaborative, more compassionate, more connected, whole.

With Gratitude,
Turil
