My work has, at it’s core, an aim to enable a global nervous system that allows all of the different animal, vegetable, and even mineral based beings on the Earth to get the information they need to help move the various resources we each create to where they are most valuable at any given time, so that the whole planetary organism can flourish. I focus on both the top down ideal of a global infrastructure that routes information from where it is created to where it’s needed most, with my Architecture for a new internet, and I am working on the bottom-up local work of generating that information in the most economic way, so that we’re not confused or wasting our energy when we’re communicating with the world, with my Speaking Up process.

Because, as so many fail to remember, the key to effective growth is to think global and act local.

We have land! Thanks to generous donations, my dream of starting a non-profit community resource hub with resident artists, techies, and educators all working with the community to find creative solutions using available resources to serve the needs of the community members freely and unconditionally so that everyone can be their best possible selves has real, material beginnings! We now have a (very cheap) small blop of property in mid-coast Maine, and I’m seeking folks who can help physically build spaces for volunteers to live, and the public to explore and create with us.

We can direct our communications in a simple decision tree based on evolution, with random mutation and natural selection helping us organize our content, effectively, efficiently, and responsibly, so that we serve our subjective priorities beautifully, for a more informed and inspired species.

I call this The Architecture for a New Internet. Bold, yet humble, is it not?

a love letter

With so much gratitude, I offer the Earth…

The Architecture for Planetary Procreation! – a new algorithm for a future internet that is fully aimed at serving the input and output needs of the whole planet.

It’s both a pattern for evolving our stories and visions of a better future, in a healthy, emergent, decentralized way, and also a design for organizing an entire planet’s worth of life’s offerings and requests, in a healthy, democratic, centralized way. It’s a grand architecture for categorizing and directing content of all manner, for the most effective use, in the form of a noosphere, aka, a global nervous system!

Here’s a video explaining a bit about the purpose of it.

And here’s an updated version of the Maslow 2.0 hierarchy of needs which describes the next level of detail for the architecture process.

My big goal that is getting very much closer, thanks to generous donations, is starting a non-profit community resource hub with resident artists, techies, and educators all working with the community to find creative solutions using available resources to serve the needs of the community members freely and unconditionally so that everyone can be their best possible selves. I’m currently (Summer 2018) starting to seriously look for (very cheap) property, ideally an old farm, probably in mid-coast Maine, and seeking folks who can help figure out the legal stuff of starting a non-profit or whatever, and putting the property into a trust so that it’s always there to serve the needs of those who live there.
