I am for you

What is Consciousness?

In this new video, I explore defining consciousness in a simple, extremely realistic, physics-based way, looking at how atoms that are “informationally connected” in molecules (and larger material objects) are aware of their current states, and potential future states. The more complex the connected matter system becomes, and the more possible future states it has, the more consciousness we can describe it as having. This also could be considered “free will” in a deterministic universe.

What do you think? Does this explain consciousness robustly and clearly enough for you?
