If reality is random (in the sense of everything that can possibly happen does, just not linearly!) then we can eliminate at least some of the stress that comes from unpredictable things happening by both actively looking out for weird stuff, and also expanding our range of alternatives that we’re comfortable with, so that we can be better prepared for problems that pop up. So expecte the unexpected, and try to collect a “magic bag of tricks” to use when the regular old muggle tactics don’t work.
