I am for you

sensitivity

can you smell it?

In reading some Buckminster Fuller, I learned that one can sort the five primary human senses into three categories, based on the physics of their processes:

1. Touch – most strongly associated in the brain with things from the past

2. Taste, Smell, Hearing – most strongly associated in the brain with things from the present.

3. Sight – most strongly associated in the brain with things from the future.

I imagine there is a little overlap with taste affecting at least some parts of the brain that govern feelings about the past, and with hearing affecting at least some parts of the brain that govern feelings about the future.

If this is true, then when one is interested in changing one’s brain state for any reason, one can consciously refocus one’s attention on the information coming in from the sense associated most strongly with the desired state.

What other implications can you think of that result from this theory?
